Very good app but misses key rules of backgammon (no more than 5 pieces at the same point etc.)
Otherwise works well, even though the dices can get a bit frustrating
I searched so long for this Backgammon Game.Very realistic Game Play.
Easy to play, and multiplayer is lots of fun now that there is a larger pool of players.
This is an APP very well put together with nice graphics and gameplay.
The support via the "Send Feedback" button is very quick and positive. I requested a "Auto Bear-off" button and they said it would be included at the next software update. Great support..!!
Many other 4 & 5 star reviews cover this app accurately. Ill add that though sometimes the nick-of-time doubles that win the game happen for the computer, after enough games I saw them happen in my favour too. Seems like fair odds after enough games.
This game is exactly what I was looking for. Lots of features, play against other people and a strong computer player.
Some bad moments
I just updated this app and it is terrible. Glitches out in the middle of a game. Freezes the screen. Awful awful awful.
Since the update (3.0.3?) I cant double the points or accept an offer to double. As soon as I do it closes the app. Also, I can no longer write messages to my opponent. I love this game, but not pleased that the problem is still not fixed. Not impressed with the update.
The dice roll on this one is awful....it ALWAYS favors the computer so it makes it really frustrating...sad because the game is well structured and smooth but the cheating dice roll kills it
constantly rolls exactly what it needs to hit me, come in when hes hit, or to bear off...its getting so i can actually PREDICT what the computer will roll...give me a break...UPDATE...still a cheater...i have set to go to random.org for the dice rolls and it tells me when its getting the roll from there...interesting though....I DONT HAVE AN INTERNET CONNECTION! now, how blatant is that????....many versions later....still unbelievable...i was bearing off, had him on the bar with only my 6 open...he rolled double sixes and then 4 more high doubles in a row and beat me...are u kidding????
Whats keeping it from 5 stars: questionable randomness of dice rolls, inability to continue receiving game requests after refusing one (you have to request a match again after rejecting someone), and no leader board for a players number rating.
This use to be the best backgammon app around. Now it is a waste of time constant disconnects lack of players. Time to try a different one. :(
